"Just Here Waiting for You" is one of a dyptych along with its companion piece, "Look Closely." It is part of my limited Marina Scapes series which was created from multiple plein air painting sessions at Washington Sailing Marina, and from memory. I love experimenting with different color palettes and tools. I used a lot of palette knife, pulling and dragging and shaping the colors until I had the look and feel of a marina surrounded by trees. This piece, along with its companion piece definitelyv eered more abstract with the suggestion of a marina and boats if you look closely, or maybe stand back a bit.
